[An automated sounding computer voice says:] This is the in box of Himawari Kunogi, Please leave a message!
[After a moment there is a new notice, this time the girl speaks in a cheerful voice]
Hello! This is Himawari. If you have a question about the city or wish to have some assistance looking up jobs or places for rent, please leave me a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible!

Date: 2011-08-25 03:12 am (UTC)No, no sense in you picking up anything I might still have anyhow. Now that you know you can. [with another clearing of her throat she frowned] The strange growth? You mean those mushrooms? They weren't there last week, that's for sure.
[call]
Date: 2011-08-25 03:38 am (UTC)Alternately, don't make me sic my roommate on you. [He pulled out the pamphlet from the training session, in which he'd made some notes. To them he added the word 'mushroom'.] Is that what they were? I haven't seen quite the like, though I didn't get close enough to them to really examine them.
[call]
Date: 2011-08-25 04:01 am (UTC)[Huh... that fellow talking about having an on site medic. That... really would have been handy today]
I ah... your roommate? [She sounded confused at this, though she supposed it was a tease.] Oh ah, I think so. They look like mushrooms to me. Small fungus that grow in strange places. I've never seen them in the field before though.

Date: 2011-08-25 05:09 am (UTC)[There is never a medic when you need one.]
Yes, Genesis. He... stayed by my side through the illness. [It was probably clear from Sephiroth's voice that he was still coming to terms with what the gesture meant.] I'd love another look, but I don't know that I want to risk exposure. Assuming that they did cause the illness, which is at this point still a big assumption.
[call]
Date: 2011-08-25 05:41 am (UTC)[Right? And then you have a ton of them when no one needs one]
That is good. That he stayed and tried to help you. He seems like a good friend to you. [After all, only friends or family stick around the ill, right?] There are a lot of things that could have caused an illness here. Mushrooms back home are only harmful if eaten, and that's only a few types.
[call]
Date: 2011-08-27 03:31 am (UTC)[Exactly! Damn medics. It's a conspiracy, clearly.]
He is, and I am but poor to him. It is... hard to figure out. [There was a soft sigh; clearly, someone didn't want to think about it.] It still goes on the list as a possibility. I just don't like how there's no concrete proof of anything.
[call]
Date: 2011-08-27 03:49 am (UTC)[Clearly. They do it to mock those who cant heal themselves]
Is he the type to put up with someone if they were truly being poor to him? [she asked it more curiously then anything else. To her, she had not see Sephiroth be anything but calm and cool headed kind. As he said though, we all have our dark moods.]
[As for the mushrooms, she frowned] Nothing in this port comes with concrete proof. Not even the existence of the newcomers out of no where. It all gets blamed on the Core. Maybe this will be too.

Date: 2011-08-28 04:36 am (UTC)[I know, right? Bastards.]
'Hard to figure out' is one of the only descriptions I can give him in all accuracy. Sometimes he is as the man I remember, and sometimes he echoes the friend I thought lost. It is hard to reconcile the two.
[He did make an amused sound at her words though -- glad to take his mind off of Genesis.] Very few things in life come with concrete proof. But there are theories built on thoughts, and theories built on evidence. It is unfortunate we do not have more of the latter, in this instance.

Date: 2011-09-02 06:42 pm (UTC)[She coughed again, settling deeper down in her couch] Hmm... [she kept this information in mind, really. More to her own puzzle to solve. She wanted to meet this Genesis now, to put her own thoughts on him. Anyone who was looking after Sephiroth when he was sick can't be too bad, hmm?]
I'm sure there will be some evidence here soon enough. Or at least someone who thinks they have some. Either that or it's just someone's powers going out on them. That happens a lot... though who's powers would make people sick, I don't know. [she rubbed her face, thinking that was lame to say or think. clearly she wasn't thinking right today]

Date: 2011-09-03 06:22 am (UTC)[Her cough worried him a little; yes, the Mako in his system had overcome whatever infection plagued him faster than would that of one not so enhanced, but it still seemed as if she should not be so affected. Perhaps he had overestimated the immune systems of the unenhanced? It was something to consider, but for later, not to bother her now.]
I suppose all we can do is wait; it will out itself sooner or later. Idle speculation gets us ideas, but little more. [It wasn't lame at all, in that it went into his mental file of possible powers that people could have. In a way the Port could be so similar to Midgar, but it the next breath it proved itself truly a world apart.]
[call]
Date: 2011-09-03 06:56 am (UTC)[She had a normal immune system that didn't have to deal with sickness often. Doubtless it was confused on why she was sick when it wasn't that time of the year to BE sick yet. And she was mostly over the bad stuff, just a small cough left is all. He would see, it wasn't so bad, then she can tell him to stop his fussing.]
It gives you something for your brain to ponder over. [she commented back about speculations.] But this whole places can do that. If you can't blame the core you blame powers. Kind of sad, really...

Date: 2011-09-05 12:56 am (UTC)[If a six-foot-something genetically engineered supersoldier wanted to fuss, then he was going to fuss. But it also would give him the opportunity to observe the symptoms in another -- or at least to talk about them, for the sake of comparison. Something that infected once could do so again, and Sephiroth wanted to be prepared for the possibility.]
That it does. [There was a small background noise of shifting, cloth and metal and leather coming together in various combinations as Sephiroth shifted from half-reclined to fully upright.] The speculation is a good exercise, I believe. But perhaps too many people cut it off early for the ease of blaming these things unknown.
[call]
Date: 2011-09-05 03:03 am (UTC)[Go on with your bad self and fuss on, or use it as a research project which might be easier to explain to cover for fussing. None the less...]
Well, it is easier to just blame something else and move on. [she admitted. That was how the world worked though. She sometimes worked that way too, sadly... it's always her bad luck] Or at least that's how it seems around here.
[call]
Date: 2011-09-05 03:43 am (UTC)[Shush, you.]
Yes. The path of least resistance. We've all done it. [There was a small shrug, that of course she couldn't see.] I would not worry on it, unless it becomes habit.
