[She doesn't know if you are in the house or not, but if you are you might have just heard her yell your name surprise as she found the dress. It's back-revealing, but she can cover that with her hair. Other then that it's exactly her type. One late text back]

[Yes he is in the house, she'll find that out when his laughter bubbles up the stairs at the yell. He's texting her as he climbs them; the message should hit her NV a moment before he makes it to her room.]

[at her door or not, that text got sent out swiftly as she recived the last one. She had the dress out and was holding it up to her a moment while sending it. But she heard him laugh and fully intends to go out and talk face to face.]

[Meaning she headed to her door, opened it and intended to--well not run into the man. With a giggle she backed up and smiled up at him]

And what if I said no?

[He's smiling when she opens the door -- and oh, the dress is a good color for her, he's glad. It'd been hard to choose it without her there, but the surprise is worth the trouble at the store.]

I'm allowed to be fancy once in a while, especially when it comes to one of my favorite people. I'd hope you wouldn't say no.

[She giggled to that, stepping back and holding the dress up better so he can see.]

Well, for you I'll always say yes. [a small bashful smile as she looks down at the dress again, smoothing it out some.] It's my size and everything. You shouldn't know what my size is.

Flatterer. [And speaking of flattery, it's such a lovely color on her! A bold hand reaches out to pull a curl of hair forward over her shoulder to rest on the dress she holds up to her body.] You'll make it look stunning. Am I going to get punished for a lucky guess?

[A charming smile is given at his comment and as he pulls some of her hair over like that.] You mean it will make me look stunning? And no, no punishment, though I might wonder where your good luck came from. I clearly isn't form me.

No, I said it correctly the first time. [Leaning lightly on her doorframe now, because one does not enter a lady's room uninvited (unless said lady in in trouble, in which case no door would stop him). But it's good to see her smiling, after all the trouble and stress they've all been through lately.] Maybe someone's just willing good luck onto me then.

[Not that he's implying, of course!]

Sure you did. [she chuckled, moving to the closet door and carefully hanging the dress up again, leaving it on the outside of the door so she could look at it still. It was then that she would invite him in, because she knew him. He'd not come in on his own, much like she wouldn't intrude on his space on her own (unless she was having nightmares, to which she would so rudely intrude upon his space as silently as possible]

You can come in. Oh but I have been willing you the good luck, I just don't think it sticks. Either that or it just counters the other luck you keep taking on.

[as for the cheerful mood, she's mostly trying to force herself back into something people recognize. Back into a human that can help others and not some mess of her own. Smile masks were easy after all, though she was happy at this moment]

[He accepts the invitation, moving into the room's interior and making himself comfortable. They're not strangers to visits like this, though always respectful of each others' space (and never once has he considered her nightmares an intrusion!). He's just glad the small gesture has made her happy, and going out might force them both to do something other than work for the evening -- a behavior of which they're both guilty.]

Well, it seems that it stuck long enough for me to visit that shop, so a few bumps and bruises afterward are nothing. I'll even let you pick my clothes, if you'd like.

[Always respectful, yes and also both guilty of over working. They had good bad habits at least. Oh and Sephiroth, have a cat coming up to curl up at your foot. Tiny as tiny Koyuki can be, just... there.]

I just wish the luck would stick with you longer and stronger then bumps and bruises, but I guess cursed souls can't be choosy. [oh and a tiny little clap as she plopped down on the edge of her bed] Oooh, I get to play in your closet. Fantastic!

[Sephiroth actually likes cats; he'll remove a glove and lean down to let the animal sniff fingertips, to see if petting will be acceptable. Koyuki is smaller-boned than Soldier, the stray Sephiroth took in who is looking to be a large cat indeed.]

Bumps and bruises don't stick with me long, you know that. Unless you think I should talk to Doctor Yumeno about what we can do to increase that speed even more...? [It's half a tease, and a smile as she plops on the bed. Who knew opening one's closet would be such a thrill for her?] It's only fair; I picked your dress.

No! No... [she stressed, holding both hands up as if to say stop, no. and chuckled softly] No need to go through all that. You're perfect the way you are.

[and hey, it's the small things that amuse her. Even if his closest isn't that amusing, she's smirking about it. Not that she hasn't pawed through it for him before.. But still]

Yes but you appear to have bought me something. I'm just picking an existing outfit. Speaking of which, you must have had this planned if you went out and got me a dress. If you're not careful, someone will think this was a date. [ie: Genesis...]

Well, if you insist... [Perfect is what he'd been designed to be, he's understanding that more and more with every look they take into his genetic structure. It's not the easiest thing, to see himself broken down into so much data, to truly understand how little of him is human after all. But Doctor Yumeno had been convincing, and Sephiroth trusts the man -- and there is too a desire to become stronger, to become more than what he currently is: the perfect SOLDIER, the perfect protector. To be able to shelter those he holds close, especially, is a strong motivator for him.

But that's not for right now. For right now is the soft petting of Koyuki's head, and a smile for the slip of a girl across from him.]

Well, not entirely planned. But I am pleased with how things are falling into place. [There's a small laugh, because they both know who she's hinting about. Genesis is mostly over his jealousy of Himawari, Sephiroth thinks.] Maybe it is a date. We can have a date, can't we? And you get the entirety of my closet to put something together, so I'm not sure it is an existing outfit.
